De-radicalisation Programme Integrity Evaluation Checklist

The ‘De-radicalisation Programme Integrity Evaluation Checklist’ (DPIEC) has been developed to determine the structural integrity of a programme in the field of de-radicalisation and countering violent extremism (CVE). It is rooted in the latest theory and research in the field, details of which can be found in the report ‘Stand-alone de-radicalisation programme evaluation tool for stakeholders’.
The toolkit is aimed at helping practitioners and policy makers evaluate the technical quality of a programme, in order to estimate its likelihood of impact. It can be used to assess existing or planned programmes and can also be used to systematically design new programmes.
A step-by-step guide details how to provide the information needed to adequately complete the checklist. A simple tool allows the end-user to evaluate and score a total of 73 factors, which are evenly weighted, across 6 structural integrity fields. A final overall ranking shows the programme’s structural integrity, ranging from 1 ‘Very High Structural Integrity’ to 4 ‘Defective’. The toolkit generates a full report, which includes the information completed by the user, which can help users develop, benchmark and improve their programmes.
